Frequently Asked Questions
Finding the right therapist can bring up a lot of questions. Learn more about insurance, payment options, therapy approaches and what to expect when getting started with Rise Therapy.
Insurance & Payment
Helpful information about insurance coverage, private pay and session costs.
-
Yes. Rise Therapy is in-network with many major insurance providers and also offers a private-pay option for clients who prefer it or whose insurance is out of network. Because coverage varies by plan, contact us to confirm your specific benefits before your first session.
-
Our private-pay rate is $200 per session. If you’re using insurance, your cost will depend on your plan’s deductible, copay or coinsurance.
-
Using insurance can reduce your out-of-pocket cost, but your plan may have requirements related to diagnosis, medical necessity, authorizations or covered services. Your specific benefits and coverage will depend on your insurance plan.
Private pay offers greater flexibility without insurance-related requirements or authorization processes. However, you are responsible for the full session fee rather than a copay or coinsurance amount.
We’re happy to answer general questions about both options. For detailed information about your benefits and coverage, we also recommend contacting your insurance provider directly.
Therapy Services & Approaches

Each approach supports healing in a different way, and the best fit depends on your experiences, needs and goals.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) explores the connection between thoughts, emotions and behaviors. Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a structured trauma therapy that helps clients process distressing experiences. Brainspotting uses visual focus and body awareness to help clients explore and process emotional experiences.
Many of our therapists are trained in multiple approaches and will work with you to determine which methods feel most supportive.
-
Yes. Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) is one of the approaches our therapists use with couples. EFT helps partners recognize recurring patterns, understand the emotions and attachment needs beneath conflict, and develop new ways of connecting and communicating.
