Parenting can feel especially complex during times of transition. Whether you're navigating divorce, co-parenting, blended family dynamics, or new developmental stages with your children, parent coaching offers practical guidance and support.

Our approach focuses on helping families strengthen communication, make thoughtful parenting decisions, and move forward with greater clarity and confidence.

What Parent Coaching Can Help With

Coaching sessions may focus on:

  • Navigating single parenting, co-parenting, or grandparent caregiving roles

  • Managing transitions between households and communication between caregivers

  • Supporting children through family changes such as separation or blended families

  • Navigating relationships with others involved in a child’s life, including teachers, therapists, attorneys, or guardians ad litem

  • Introducing new partners or step-family members in a healthy, thoughtful way

  • Developing strategies for discipline, boundaries, and child development challenges

  • Supporting parents through adolescent transitions, school concerns, and behavioral challenges

  • Learning tools to manage frustration, conflict, and communication between parents

Coaching vs. Therapy

Although the coaching services are provided by a licensed marriage and family therapist, the role of a parenting coach is different from therapy.

Parent coaching focuses on education, guidance, and practical strategies to help families move forward. Because coaching does not involve diagnosis or mental health treatment, sessions are typically not reimbursed by insurance.
