Meet Jennifer
Jennifer M. Knapp, MS, LMFT, is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who believes people and their experiences make sense within the context of their relationships. From early family dynamics to intimate partnerships and community connections, our relationships shape how we understand ourselves and the world around us.
Jennifer works with individuals, couples, and families to help them better understand these patterns and shift from reacting automatically to responding with intention and balance.

Jennifer’s Leadership & Contributions
Jennifer has contributed to the mental health field through community education, conference presentations, and professional leadership. She is passionate about sharing knowledge that helps strengthen families, support healing from trauma, and increase understanding of mental health.
Jennifer previously served as an At-Large Board Member and Chair of the Social Justice Committee for the Minnesota Association of Marriage and Family Therapy. Through her leadership and teaching, she has helped advance conversations around trauma-informed care, anxiety and perfectionism, LGBTQ+ mental health support, and strengthening families impacted by trauma.
She has presented for professional organizations, community groups, and school systems, supporting parents, educators, and clinicians in better understanding the emotional and relational needs of children, adolescents, and families.

Jennifer has completed extensive advanced training in trauma, attachment, and relational therapy, allowing her to support clients with complex emotional and relational experiences.
