Approach to Therapy
Clare believes therapy should be a place where you can be honest about what is happening in your life without feeling like you need to have it all figured out first. Her approach is collaborative, attuned, and grounded in the belief that there is no one “right” way to do therapy. She works to understand each client as a whole person and adapts her approach based on what they need.
Clare is particularly interested in helping clients slow down and get curious about their emotions, relationships, and the patterns that may be showing up in their lives.
She draws from Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), attachment theory, and Brainspotting to support this work. She brings curiosity, thoughtful questions, and openness to difficult conversations, while trusting that you are the expert on your own experience.
Above all, Clare wants therapy to feel like a space where you can show up as you are. Her goal is not to tell you who you should be, but to help you better understand yourself, feel more connected to the people and parts of your life that matter to you, and have greater freedom in how you respond to what life brings.
